SMART Hospitality provides authentic Spanish catering with a selection of Paella and Tapas, exclusive to the Albury Wodonga region.

Paella is a Valencian rice dish that originated in its modern form in the mid-19th century near Lake Albufera, a lagoon in Valencia, on the east coast of Spain.

Paella is gluten free and healthy.

Our expertise and technique began in 2005 with a lesson by a local paella Guru in an Orange Grove in the foothills above Valencia, Spain – the home of Paella.

Experience the aromatic and visual fiesta of Paella as our Chef cooks in front of your guests and entertains with stories of Paella origins and techniques.

Paella can be cooked on-site anywhere;  we come self contained – no need for any kitchen access. It is a delicious catering option for Office Parties, Christmas Parties, Engagements, Wedding Receptions, Festivals, Birthdays, or any other Private or Corporate event. Perfect for large groups.

Paella is a Catalan word which derives from the Old French word paelle for pan, which in turn comes from the Latin word patella for pan as well. Patella is also akin to the modern French poêle the Italian padella and the Old Spanish padilla.
